If everything is right, then something is wrong is the studio album by Nena , released on July 6, 1998 .
Emergence
On the album, Nena works with the composer and lyricist Lukas Hilbert , who already wrote the hit You must be a pig for the band Die Prinzen . As on the predecessor Jamma nich , Luci van Org was also involved in some texts. The album was produced by Hilbert, the American Tony Bruno (Tony Rey) and Phillip Palm. Hilbert also played bass on the album, Bruno in addition to the guitar also bass and palm drums and percussion.
For Palm it was the first studio production for Nena and the beginning of a long-term professional and private relationship. Palm has two children with Nena. For Tony Bruno ( Danger Danger ) it was the springboard in Germany as an author for No Angels (including Daylight in Your Eyes ).
reception
Alan Severa reviewed the album for Allmusic and emphasized the return to the rock principles (“this album really does fit the phrase 'return to form'”), which Nena last showed before the Nena band split up. Severa compares the album with the debut album released 15 years earlier and gives it 4 out of 5 stars.
