Werner Hantelmann
Werner Hantelmann (born February 27, 1871 in Budapest , † August 7, 1939 in Hanover ) was a German painter and sculptor . He was the son of the architect Karl Hantelmann .
Work (incomplete)
- Saint George as a dragon slayer at the dragon slayer house above the Georgspassage , Georgstraße 10 . From 1900 to 1901 the building by Hermann Schaedtler (with the help of Karl Hantelmann ) has preserved the richly decorated sandstone facade , which is a listed building. The almost fully three-dimensional sculpture of St. George is presented above a tympanum-like field with a keel arch and Gothic decorations on the building, also known as Fugesches Haus , which was originally built for the Fuge furniture store .
- at the cannon workshop built by Alfred Sasse for Hanomag in 1916 on Deisterplatz in Hanover: together with Georg Herting, the personifications of industry and work
- Four of the nine reliefs in the picture frieze on the history of the city of Hanover are by Werner Hantelmann on the New Town Hall of Hanover :
