The Wieżyca (German Turmberg ) is the highest mountain in northern Poland at 329 m . At the same time, it is the highest point raised by the Scandinavian inland ice south of the Baltic Sea (Denmark, Northern Germany, Poland, the Baltic States) and the highest mountain between the Harz Mountains in the west and the Dsjarschynskaja Hara near Minsk in the east. It is the highest mountain in the area of the former province of West Prussia .
It is located in the Pomeranian Voivodeship , about 45 km southwest of Gdansk , in the northeast of the Pomeranian Lake District , which belongs to the Baltic Ridge . Radunia (Radaune) , Łeba (Leba) and Wierzyca (heel) spring not far from its summit .
There is a 35 m high observation tower on the Turmberg .
The largest towns near the mountain are Kościerzyna ( Berent ) in the south and Kartuzy ( Karthaus ) in the north; Szymbark ( Schönberg ) is located directly south of the Turmberg . Not far from the mountain is the touristically important village Wieżyca with several large swimming lakes and a stop on the Gdynia Główna – Kościerzyna railway line .
