Wielands is a village and a cadastral municipality of the market town of Großdietmanns in the Gmünd district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there was a total of 130 building areas with 51,713 m² and 125 gardens on 40,532 m² in the cadastral community of Wielands, in 1989/1990 there were 130 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 441 and in 2009/2010 there were 216 buildings on 491 building areas.

Agriculture

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 431 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 14 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 414 hectares and 25 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 405 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 27 hectares. The average soil climate in Wielands is 33 (as of 2010).
