Viktor Nikolajewitsch Tyumenew ( Russian Виктор Николаевич Тюменев ; born June 1, 1957 in Moscow , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ; † August 2, 2018 in Moscow, Russia) was a Russian ice hockey player .
Career
Tyumenew began his career at Krylya Sowetow Moscow , with whom he won the European Cup in 1975 and was Soviet runner-up.
From 1980 he went on the ice for HK Spartak Moscow , with which he was runner-up four times in a row between 1981 and 1984. In total, he scored 135 goals in 524 games in the Soviet league .
At the NHL Entry Draft 1987 he was selected in 150th place by the Vancouver Canucks , but never played in the National Hockey League , but moved to the Finnish SM-liiga for TPS Turku for the 1989/90 season . With TPS he became Finnish champion in 1990 and 1991 , before moving to the second division at KooKoo Kouvola in 1992 via KalPa Kuopio . After a season at SaPKo Savonlinna in the third division, he initially ended his career. In the 1997/98 and 1998/99 seasons he returned to the ice for five Super League games before he finally ended his playing career.
International
He was appointed to the Soviet national ice hockey team at an early age . On February 10, 1979 he was in a game against Canada for the first time for the Sbornaja on the ice. His international career was crowned with a gold medal at the 1984 Winter Olympics . For the national team, he scored 15 goals in 94 international matches. On April 22, 1990, he played his last international match. In 1982 he was named “ Honored Master of Sports of the USSR ”.
