Wilhelm Christoph Jakob August von Haas (born October 8, 1785 in Magdeburg , † March 25, 1855 in Erfurt ) was a Prussian major general .

Life

origin

His parents were Wilhelm Jakob von Haas and his wife Elisabeth Hermine Sophie Auguste, née von Platen. His father was major a. D. and last in Infantry Regiment No. 20 .

Military career

Haas came on May 3, 1800, when Corporal Corporal in the Infantry Regiment "of Schladen" the Prussian and advanced to early June 1806 second lieutenant . On March 22, 1843 he was promoted to colonel and at the same time was transferred to Torgau Fortress as second in command. In this position, Haas was awarded the Red Eagle Order III on September 23, 1844 . Excellent with a bow. Under awarding of the character as a major general Haas took his on March 30, 1848 farewell with board . He died on March 25, 1855 in Erfurt.

Haas married on March 1, 1816 in Wesel the canon in Gesecke Sophie von Aachen (1784-1858), the daughter of the Münster captain Clemens August von Aachen. The couple had three sons and a daughter.
