Johann August Wilhelm Meinhard Adolf von Pape (born January 27, 1808 in Königsberg in the Neumark , † September 5, 1885 in Loschwitz near Dresden ) was a Prussian lieutenant general .

His parents were Wilhelm von Pape (1771-1860) and his wife Wilhelmine, née Freiin von Röppert (1774-1857). Career

He received his education at the Friedrich-Werdeschen Gymnasium in Berlin . After graduating, he went on foot as a grenadier in the 2nd Guards Regiment on January 30, 1825 . There he was promoted to Portepeefähnrich on November 14, 1826, aggregated as Second Lieutenant on April 15, 1828, and assigned to April 13, 1829.
