Wilmersdorf is a district of the town of Pritzwalk in the Prignitz district in Brandenburg .

geography

The place is nine kilometers east of Pritzwalk. The neighboring towns are Könkendorf in the north, Maulbeerwalde in the northeast, Heiligengrabe in the southeast, Hoheheide in the south, Bölzke , Kemnitz and Neu Kemnitz in the southwest, Alt Krüssow in the west and Neu Krüssow in the northwest.

history

The first written mention of Wilmersdorf comes from the year 1351. Therein the place was recorded under "in villa Wilmerstorp".

Until 1816 the place belonged to the district of Pritzwalk in the province of Prignitz ; part of the Kurmark of the Mark Brandenburg and then came to the Ostprignitz district . From 1952 Wilmersdorf belonged to the Pritzwalk district in the Potsdam district . Since December 6, 1993 the place is part of today's Prignitz district.
