Location of Wingendorf in Saxony

Wingendorf is a district of Bahretal in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district .

geography

Wingendorf is located southeast of the Saxon capital Dresden in the south of the municipality of Bahretal, which in turn is located in the center of the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district. The place lies on the northern roof of the eastern Ore Mountains in the Elbe valley slate region . The location is in a valley along the Wingersdorf stream, which flows north of the village into the bier , which largely forms the natural eastern border of the Wingersdorf area.

Wingendorf is a one-sided Waldhufendorf , the three-sided farms that characterize the town are all on the eastern side of the road. Correspondingly, the forest hooves stretch on the orographically right side of the Wingle village over a ridge to the grave. Edge areas of the district are wooded, especially in the extreme north on the slopes of the Bahretals and in the south the so-called heather wood. A large part of the 286 hectares of land is used for agricultural purposes.

Wingendorf has always been a double village with the neighboring Bahretal district of Göppersdorf to the northwest . With Gersdorf in the northeast, there is another Bahretal district. The Bad Gottleuba-Berggießhübler districts of Börnersdorf in the south and Bad Gottleuba with the corridor Ober- u. Niederhartmannsbach in the east.

The most important and ultimately also the only street on WÄNDORFER FLUR is the district road 8757, which runs in north-south direction and connects Gersdorf with Börnersdorf via Wingendorf. The federal motorway 17 from Dresden to Prague also runs just west of the corridor ; the next junction is a good two kilometers south in Börnersdorf (Bad Gottleuba exit). Wingendorf is connected to the regional bus network of the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains (RVSOE) .
