Location of Ottendorf in Saxony

Ottendorf manor near Pirna

Ottendorf is a district of Bahretal in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district .

geography

Ottendorf is located southeast of the Saxon capital Dresden in the northeast of the municipality of Bahretal, which in turn is located in the center of the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district. The Waldhufendorf is located on the northern roof of the eastern Ore Mountains in the Elbe valley slate area . The location is on the Ottendorfer Bach in an orographically right side hollow of the valley of the bier , which is dammed above the location in the retention basin Friedrichswalde-Ottendorf . In addition to the Ottendorf Church and the neighboring castle, the townscape is characterized by numerous relatively simple two-sided courtyards. Edge areas of the district , in particular the slopes on the narrow valley of the bier and on the Dohmaer Bach north of the locality as well as the Ottendorfer Bach and in the Cottaer Busch south of Ottendorf, are forested. A large part of the 466 hectares of land is used for agricultural purposes.

With the neighboring district of Friedrichswalde in Bahretal to the west , Ottendorf has grown into a double village , separated only by the bier , which formed the municipality of Friedrichswalde-Ottendorf from 1970 to 1994 . Another district of Bahretal borders with Gersdorf in the south. Neighboring to the north is Dohma , to the east the corridors Großcotta and Dürrhof of the Dohma district of Cotta .

The most important street on Ottendorfer Flur is Staatsstraße 170n. From Cotta it bypasses the districts of Ottendorf and Friedrichswalde to the north, crosses the Bahretal on a 325 m long and up to 28 m high bridge and establishes the connection with the western district of Nentmannsdorf and via the Bahretal junction with the federal motorway 17 . District road 8732 branches off from the state road in Ottendorf and opens up the village centers of Friedrichswalde and Ottendorf. Ottendorf is connected to Borna and Gersdorf in a southerly direction and to the Pirna district of Beimendorf via Kreisstraße 8757 in the Bahretal . Ottendorf is connected to the regional bus network of Saxon Switzerland and Eastern Ore Mountains (RVSOE) .
