geography

Hornblende fracture Nentmannsdorf (Amphibolite)

Nentmannsdorf is located southeast of the Saxon capital Dresden in the northwest of the municipality of Bahretal, which in turn is in the center of the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district. The Waldhufendorf is located on the northern roof of the eastern Ore Mountains in the Elbe valley slate area . The location is on the Nentmannsdorfer Bach in an orographically right side hollow of the Seidewitz valley . The townscape is characterized by several large three-sided courtyards . The Laurich settlement to the south also belongs to the district. In the hard stone works Nentmannsdorf, an extensive quarry in the Seidewitztal in the far north of the corridor, the Saxon Building Materials Union (SBU) Dresden mines amphibolite . Edge areas of the district , in particular the slopes of the Seidewitztal in the west, are forested. A large part of the 411 hectares of land is used for agricultural purposes.

With Borna in the south, Friedrichswalde in the east and the Niederseidewitzer Flur with Oberseidewitz in the north-east, other districts of Bahretal border. The Liebstädter district Biensdorf is neighboring to the west. In the Seidewitztal, the Müglitztal district of Burkhardswalde borders in the northwest and the Dohna district of Meusegast in the far north .

The most important street on Nentmannsdorfer Flur is Seidewitztalstraße, which connects Liebstadt with Pirna as state road 176 . From here the district road 8732 branches off, which opens up the town center and joins the district road 8760 to the east of the village, which in turn connects under the name Hohe Straßezutendorf via Niederseidewitz and Nentmannsdorf with the Liebstädter district Herbergen . The intersection with the district road 8760 is also the beginning of the state road 170n, on which the Bahretal junction of the federal highway 17 from Dresden to Prague is located immediately east of Nentmannsdorf . Nentmannsdorf is the only district of Bahretals west of the motorway. To the east, the state road bypasses the Bahretaler districts of Friedrichswalde and Ottendorf to the north and connects Nentmannsdorf with the Dohmaer district of Cotta . Nentmannsdorf is connected to the regional bus network of the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains (RVSOE) .
