Location of Niederseidewitz in Saxony

Niederseidewitz is a district of Bahretal in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district . In addition to the actual location of Niederseidewitz, the district also includes the hamlets Oberseidewitz and Zwirtzschkau , which are also located in the Niederseidewitz district . Sometimes all three places are summarized as Seidewitz .

geography

Niederseidewitz is located southeast of the Saxon state capital Dresden in the far north of the municipality of Bahretal, which in turn is in the center of the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district. The Rundling lies on the northern roof of the eastern Ore Mountains in the Elbe valley slate area . The location is on the ridge between the valleys of the Seidewitz in the northwest and the bier in the east. The townscape is characterized largely by three-sided courtyards built from Elbe sandstone .

Edge areas of the district , including the valley slopes towards the two rivers and the bees in the southeast of the corridor, are wooded. A large part of the 333 hectare district, 57 hectares of which are in Zwirtzschkau in the northeast of the corridor , is used for agricultural purposes. Oberseidewitz is located in the south-west of the district, which largely consists of block fields , but also partly of forest hooves . The Eulmühle located on the Seidewitz also belongs to Niederseidewitz.

Neighboring districts of Bahretal are Nentmannsdorf in the southwest and Friedrichswalde in the south. Neighboring to the northwest is the Dohna district of Meusegast , to the east of Dohma . In the north, the district town of Pirna borders with its district, likewise , the Zehista district on a few meters long section on the stretcher . The next place to the north is the Dohna district of Krebs , but separated from Niederseidewitz by a corridor.

The most important road on Niederseidewitzer Flur is the federal motorway 17 from Dresden to Prague . It leads west of the village over the Seidewitztal Bridge , with 154 m arch span the largest reinforced concrete arch bridge in Saxony. The next junction is a good two kilometers south in Friedrichswalde (exit Bahretal). The district road 8760 leads from Beimendorf via Zwirtzschkau directly past the center of Niederseidewitz on to Nentmannsdorf. Niederseidewitz is connected to the regional bus network of Saxon Switzerland and Eastern Ore Mountains (RVSOE) .
