Location of Göppersdorf in Saxony

Göppersdorf is a district of Bahretal in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district .

geography

Göppersdorf is located southeast of the Saxon state capital Dresden in the south of the municipality of Bahretal, which in turn is in the center of the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district. The Waldhufendorf is located on the northern roof of the eastern Ore Mountains in the Elbe valley slate area . The location is located along a side valley of the Wingersdorf Bach through which the Göppersdorfer Bach flows and which flows into the grave northeast of the village . The townscape is characterized by large three and four-sided courtyards . Edge areas of the district are forested, especially in the extreme north on the slopes of the Schärfling and the Red Mountain and in the south on the slopes of the Newchgrund through which the Börnersdorfer Bach, a tributary of the Seidewitz , flows. A large part of the 627 hectares of land is used for agricultural purposes.

Göppersdorf has always been a twin village with the neighboring Bahretal district of Wingendorf to the south-east . With Borna in the north and Gersdorf in the northeast, two other Bahretaler districts border. Liebstadt is neighboring to the west, the Liebstadt district Herbergen to the northwest. The southern neighboring town is the Bad Gottleuba-Berggießhübler district of Börnersdorf .

The most important street on Göppersdorfer Flur is the federal motorway 17 from Dresden to Prague , which runs in a north-south direction and which passes the locality immediately to the west. The next junction is three kilometers south in Börnersdorf (Bad Gottleuba exit). State road 176 runs through the southwest of the Göppersdorfer Flur on its section between Börnersdorf and Liebstadt. District road 8757, which connects Gersdorf to Börnersdorf via Wingendorf, runs through the north and south-east. The Göppersdorfer Straße branches off from here, which as Kreisstraße 8758 opens up the town center and leads into the valley of the Börnersdorfer Bach near Liebstadt. Göppersdorf is connected to the regional bus network of the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains (RVSOE) .
