Vladimir Evgenjewitsch Issaitschew ( Russian Владимир Евгеньевич Исайчев , also Vladimir Isaychev ; born April 21, 1986 in Kuibyshev ) is a former Russian track and road cyclist .

Athletic career

Vladimir Issaitschew was in Moscow in 2003 Junior European Champion in the team pursuit together with Mikhail Ignatiev , Anton Mindlin and Nikolai Trussow . From 2008 to 2010 he drove for the Spanish Professional Continental Team Karpin Galicia, which later went under the name Xacobeo Galicia . In the 2009 season Issaitschew started at the Giro d'Italia , where he finished 164th in the overall standings.

From 2011 he drove for the Russian team Katusha . On the fifth stage of the Tour de Suisse 2012 he won the sprint of a six-person breakaway group and thus celebrated his first professional victory. He started in the road race of the Olympic Games in road racing and finished 52nd. The following year he was Russian road champion. In 2015 he decided a stage of the Burgos Tour for himself as well as the team time trial of the Tour of Austria with the Katusha team . In 2016 he ended his cycling career.
