Where the sun shines again is the second studio album by Frei.Wild , a German rock band from Brixen in the Italian province of Bozen-South Tyrol . It was released in 2003 on the Belgian independent label Razorwire Records. On May 28, 2010 the album was re-released via Frei.Wild's new label Rookies & Kings .

Music style and content

Most of the songs on the album, like on all other releases by the band, are pretty rocky. Only the song Your Second Life is a quieter piece. Thematically, the texts go in different directions. The songs Imola (Formula 1) and 1860 (football) are about sports, while money and AIDS are socially critical. The song Südtirol, on the other hand, propagates a patriotic bond with South Tyrol.

The recording quality is not yet on par with the band's later albums.

Cover design

The album cover of the original release shows a plane on the ground from the front. A blue sky can be seen in the background. In the upper part of the picture is in red letters Frei.Wild and in the lower right in the form of an airplane ticket the title Where the sun laughs again .

The re-release adorns a cover, which is kept in brown-yellow tones and shows a landscape that is lit by sunbeams. In the upper left part of the illustration are the words Frei.Wild and Where the sun laughs again . In addition, the typical Frei.Wild W can be seen on a rock face in the right part of the picture .
