Our favorite songs are a cover album by Frei.Wild , the German rock band from Brixen in the Italian province of Bozen-South Tyrol . It was released on June 21, 2019 via the Rookies & Kings label . The CD version of the album is limited to 5000 copies. According to the band, the album is not an official studio album.
Background and content
Frei.Wild was repeatedly accused by various media of a proximity to politically right-wing motives. Other musicians and bands, primarily from the left-wing political spectrum, followed this criticism again and again , expressing themselves negatively about Frei.Wild in interviews or calling for a boycott of the group.
On the album Frei.Wild cover nine well-known songs exclusively by artists who have criticized them in various ways in the past. Among them are other rock bands like Die Toten Hosen , Die Ärzte , Broilers , Jennifer Rostock , Jupiter Jones , Feine Sahne Fischfilet and Kraftklub . Songs by hip-hop artists Casper and KIZ were also covered.
Cover design
