Still II - Quiet, stormy, heartbreaking is the fourteenth studio album by the South Tyrolean German rock band Frei.Wild and at the same time the group's second acoustic album. It was released on November 29, 2019 via the Rookies & Kings label as a standard and limited box set edition.

content

The album contains mostly acoustic versions of songs from the previously released studio albums Opposition , Rivalen und Rebellen as well as 15 Years of German Rock & Scandals . There are also five or six previously unreleased songs. The box set also includes seven other titles.

Cover design

The album cover is a reference to Frei.Wild's first acoustic album Still . It differs slightly from the equipment and colors, the scene is identical. The cover is in black and white with gold accents. It shows the four band members Jochen Gargitter, Philipp Burger, Christian Forer and Jonas Notdurfter (from left to right) sitting on chairs in front of a white wall. To the left you can see a headlight. The black Frei.Wild logo and the words Quiet, Stormy, Heartbreaking and Still II are located at the top right of the picture.

Manuel Berger from laut.de rated Still II with only one of a possible five points. It is "artistically as valuable as a Heimatfilm in the First" and can be stamped "as completely irrelevant background music" without singing. The sometimes dull rhymes are also criticized and that Philipp Burger reveals "the limits of his singing vocal range uncomfortably clearly".
