The church

Wojska (German: Woiska ) is a village in Upper Silesia . It is located in the municipality of Tworóg (Tworog) in the Powiat Tarnogórski (Tarnowitz district) in the Silesian Voivodeship .

Wojska is located seven kilometers southwest of the municipality Tworóg , 16 kilometers west of the district town Tarnowskie Góry (Tarnowitz) and 36 kilometers northwest of the voivodeship capital Katowice (Katowice).

history

The place originated in the 13th century and was first mentioned in a document in 1283. Around 1295 it was mentioned in the Liber fundationis episcopatus Vratislaviensis (Tithe Register of the Diocese of Breslau) as "Woyska".

In 1818 the place was mentioned as Woisko . 1865 was the place in the police districts Woisko I. and II. Share and Woisko III. Split. Woisko I and II consisted of a manor and a village. The manor belonged to a Mr. Häusler. The village had 14 gardeners and 19 cottagers. Furthermore, the village was parish in Wischnitz and schooled in Langendorf . Woisko III consisted of a manor and a village. The manor belonged to Messrs Proske and Roß. The village had a farm, 14 gardening jobs, a cottage industry and six stately family houses. The village was also enrolled in Langendorf.

In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 76 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 199 for Poland. Woiska stayed with the German Empire . In 1936 the place was renamed Hubertusgrund . Until 1945 the place was in the district of Tost-Gleiwitz .

In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration and was renamed Wojska and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 the place came to the Katowice Voivodeship . In 1999 the place came to the re-established Powiat Tarnogórski and the new Silesian Voivodeship .
