Mikołeska (German: Mikoleska ) is a village in Upper Silesia . It is located in the municipality of Tworóg (Tworog) in the Powiat Tarnogórski (Tarnowitz district) in the Silesian Voivodeship .
geography
Mikołeska is located ten kilometers east of the municipality Tworóg , eleven kilometers north of the district town of Tarnowskie Góry (Tarnowitz) and 35 kilometers northwest of the voivodeship capital Katowice (Kattowitz).
history
In 1865, Mikoleska had nine gardener jobs and one cottager job, a total of twelve houses. The place was also called Mikoluschka.
In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 23 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 74 for Poland. Until 1922 the place was in the district of Tost-Gleiwitz . When Upper Silesia was divided in 1922, the place came to Poland. During the German occupation from 1939 to 1945 he was in the district of Beuthen-Tarnowitz .
In 1945 the place came back to Poland and was renamed Mikołuszka and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 the place came to the Katowice Voivodeship . In 1953 the name was changed to Mikołeska . In 1999 the place came to the re-established Powiat Tarnogórski and the new Silesian Voivodeship .
