In 1997, the series was not broadcast at all, instead two seasons of the series ran in 1998. On May 24, 2006, the last full-length episode entitled Fear was shown , in which Wolff shoots his opponent, but is hit so badly that he falls into a coma. At the end of the episode, Jürgen Heinrich says goodbye to his fans with a wink.

The ratings were unsatisfactory for Sat.1, so the broadcaster announced on January 30, 2012 that the series should not be continued.

After episodes of the series were broadcast by Sat.1 Gold and AXN from 2013 , hr-fernsehen has been showing episodes from Wolff's area in its late-night program since the beginning of 2015 .
