Wolfgang Blanke
Wolfgang Blanke (born April 8, 1948 in Münster , Westphalia ) is a German artist and author.
Life
From 1966 to 1971 he worked with interruptions as a seaman at Hapag-Lloyd . He spent the rest of 1971 at the Academy of Fine Arts with P. Burger. Between 1972 and 1975 he worked in the department for art and craft education, art history and archeology at the University of Mainz . In 1985 he worked at the gallery and studio “La Pastourelle”. From 1990 to 1992 he lived on the sailing yacht "Sakura" and during this time covered the route from Myra to Mulhouse (Alsace). From 1994 to 2002 he worked as an art teacher at the Goethe-Gymnasium Germersheim . Then final farewell to school service. From 2003 to 2004 on the sailing yacht "Duet" from New York City to the Bahamas .
Blanke is known for his pictures, which he paints exclusively with raw materials, pigments and various binders such as casein , glues , gums , natural resins , oils , waxes , plastics and not with industrially produced paints.
Blanke has lived in Wiesbaden since 2016 .
