Wolfram von Rotenhan (born April 20, 1845 in Eyrichshof near Bamberg or Ansbach , † June 2, 1912 in Berlin ) was a German diplomat .

Freiherr Wolfram von Rotenhan came from the Frankish nobility of the Rotenhan family . He was the fifth of six children from the marriage of Julius Hermann Ernst von Rotenhan and Justine de Gentils.

Life

Wolfram studied law and in 1871 became an imperial district assessor in Hagenau in what was then the realm of Alsace-Lorraine and later a government assessor in Strasbourg . He then transferred to the diplomatic service of the empire and became legation secretary first in Bucharest and then at the Prussian embassy to the papal chair, in 1884/1885 first counselor in Paris and in 1886 Prussia.
