The Wulf Isebrand is a nautical sign ship of the Tönning Waterways and Shipping Office .

history

The ship was ordered by the mechanical engineering department for the then Tönning Waterways and Shipping Authority. It was built in 2002/2003 under construction number 1950. The building yard was the Fassmer shipyard in Berne / Motzen. The keel of the ship was laid on November 4, 2002, and the launch took place in January 2003. It was completed on October 17, 2003.

The name giver of the ship, which was put into service on November 3, 2003, is the popular hero Dithmarschens, Wulf Isebrand . The sister ship is the common gull of the Lübeck Waterways and Shipping Office .

The ship is used off the Schleswig-Holstein North Sea coast for laying out, hauling in and checking floating navigation signs and beacon setting work as well as for obstacle recovery and traffic safety tasks. The ship is also used to transport people and materials, as well as sounding and hydraulic engineering and hydrological work.

The range of the ship is around 950 nautical miles .

Technical data and equipment

The ship is powered by a six - cylinder four - stroke diesel engine made by MTU Friedrichshafen (Type 6 R 183 TE 62) with an output of 275  kW . The engine acts on a fixed propeller via a gearbox . In the bow of the ship there is a transverse thruster control system with 50 kW output.

Two generators with 89  kVA and 38 kVA apparent power are installed for the power supply .

In the aft area there is a 48 m² working deck with a hydraulic crane. This has a 10.2 m delivery. The lifting load is 3.95 t with a 4.45 m extension. The hull of the ship is reinforced with ice, and the ship is classified as ice class "E".
