The Wurmbergwiese nature reserve is located in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district in Thuringia . The smallest nature reserve in the district extends east of Oberweißbach , a district of the city and rural community of Schwarzatal . The state road L 1145 runs to the west of the area, to the east the Leibis-Lichte dam with a water surface of 106.56 ha extends .

The 6.4 hectare area with the NSG no. 116 was placed under nature protection in 1967.
