The Meuraer Heide nature reserve is located in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district in Thuringia . It extends northwest of Meura . The state road L 2654 runs to the east. The light flows on the western edge of the area. To the west of the area, directly adjacent, the Leibis-Lichte dam extends with a water surface of 106.56 hectares .
