Jakow Andrejewitsch Selesnjow ( Russian Яков Андреевич Селезнёв ; born August 4, 1989 in Jelabuga , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Arlan Kökschetau since July 2018 .
Career
Jakow Selesnjow began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth division of Molot-Prikamje Perm , for whose professional team he made his debut in the super league in the 2004/05 season . In his rookie year , he remained pointless in 13 games and received eight penalty minutes. Then the defender played for two and a half years for Neftjanik Almetjewsk and Neftjanik Leninogorsk in the Vysschaja Liga , the second Russian division, before moving to Ak Bars Kazan from the Superliga during the 2007/08 season. He left this at the beginning of the following season after he had completed two games for Kazan in the newly formed Continental Hockey League and joined its league rival Amur Khabarovsk .
For the 2010/11 season Seleznjow was committed by Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk . For the team, however, he only played one game before moving to HK Spartak Moscow in November 2010 within the KHL . After three games in the 2011/12 season, he moved to HK Donbass Donetsk from the Wysschaja Hockey League , with which he also took part in the Continental Cup .
From 2012 Selesnjow was under contract with Vitjas Chekhov and was initially used in parallel with HK Kuban Krasnodar . From June 2015 he played at HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk .
International
For Russia , Selesnjow took part in the U18 Junior World Championship in 2007 and the U20 Junior World Championship in 2008 .
