Yayuk Basuki (born November 30, 1970 in Yogyakarta ) is a former Indonesian tennis player .

Career

Basuki started tennis at the age of seven and switched to professional tours at the age of 20. She preferred grass pitches there.

She won a total of six singles and nine doubles titles on the WTA Tour . There were also five singles and 24 doubles titles at ITF tournaments. In 1998 she was in the top ten of the double world rankings . She ended her career in 2004, but returned to the tour in 2008 and then played her last ITF tournament in March 2012 .

As a member of the Olympic Team of Indonesia Basuki played at the Olympic Games in 1992 in Barcelona, 1996 in Atlanta and 2000 in Sydney for their country.

Of her 90 games for the Indonesian Fed Cup team between 1985 and 2011, she won a total of 62.

It is also noteworthy that Basuki reached the round of 16 at Wimbledon four times in a row between 1992 and 1995. The lawn specialist achieved the greatest success of her career in 1997 when she reached the quarter-finals there.
