Yenal Kaçıra (born October 26, 1951 in Eskişehir ) is a former Turkish football player and coach. He played for the three clubs Eskişehirspor , Fenerbahçe Istanbul and Sakaryaspor and was involved in all three of some of the most important successes in their respective club history. Because of his Crimean Tatar descent, he is also known by the nickname Tatar Yenal .

Player career

society

Kaçıra started his professional career in the 1971/72 season with Eskişehirspor , the first division club in his hometown Eskişehir. Here he gave his team's 7-0 victory in the league game on May 14, 1972 against Karşıyaka SK, his professional debut. With his club, he finished the season behind Galatasaray Istanbul as runner-up and was one of the team that was able to repeat the best first division placement in the club's history to date. With his second season he conquered a regular place here and kept it until his departure in the summer of 1975. During the past period he was third in the table twice with his club and fourth in the table once.

For the 1975/76 season Kaçıra moved together with his teammate Ömer Kaner to league rivals and reigning champions Fenerbahçe Istanbul . With his new team he started by winning the TSYD Istanbul Cup, which was played pre-seasonally . Fenerbahçe, which had secured the championships of the last two seasons, started after these successes with the master coach Valdir Pereira , but replaced him after two game days by Abdulah Gegić . Under this coach, the team led the table for a long time, gambled away the championship on Trabzonspor in the last few days and became runner-up. Kaçıra played in 20 league games over the full length of the game this season and made a total of 30 competitive appearances. In the next season Kaçıra rose to the regular player. His team won the pre-season TSYD Istanbul Cup again and again they were runner-up behind Trabzonspor. After two untitled years in the Turkish championship, the club's management carried out a squad revision in the summer of 1977 and signed new players. In this environment Kaçıra defended a regular place under the leadership of the new head coach Tomislav Kaloperović . At the end of the season he was with Fenerbahçe Turkish champion, making Kaçıra his first Turkish championship with commitment and his second Turkish championship overall. The next two seasons Kaçıras team gave the championship back to Trabzonspor, instead was able to get the Turkish Cup ( 1978/79 ) and two the pre-season TSYD Istanbul Cup (1978/79, 1979/80).

After Kaçıras team could not win the Turkish championship twice in a row, the club's management carried out a new roster revision in the summer of 1981. In the course of this revision, Kaçıra, who was a reservist last season, was put on the sales list. He moved to the second division Sakaryaspor . Here he belonged to a group of seasoned players like Coşkun Demirbakan , Emin İlhan , Zafer Göncüler , who brought the club to the first league for the first time in the summer of 1981 with many young players . The team at the time consisted of young and then unknown players such as Nezihi Tosuncuk , Oğuz Çetin , Bahri Kaya , Aykut Yiğit , all of whom would later become important personalities in Turkish football. In this environment, the team finished the game season 1981/82 on the 5th place in the table and advanced to the surprise team of the season. The team thus achieved the best first division placement in the club's history. Kaçıra played after this success for another four seasons for the club and was one of the leading players during this time. After the club had missed relegation in the summer of 1986, Kaçıra went with him in the 2nd Turkish league and contributed in the next season to the fact that the club as a second division champion achieved direct promotion. With the end of the season he ended his career.

National team

Kaçıra's national team career began in June 1974 with a use for the Turkish U-21 national team . In all of these missions, Kaçıra was well over 21 years old.

In 1975 he was nominated for the first time and for the squad of the Turkish national team in a friendly against the Romanian national team by national coach Coşkun Özarı and made his international debut in this game.

Overall, Kaçıra completed four U-21 and one A international matches for Turkey.
