Roberto Yenny García

Roberto Yenny García (born February 8, 1972 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Ciudad Valles .

Life

Roberto Yenny García received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Tampico on March 19, 1996 .

After further studies he received his doctorate in philosophy at the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Tamaulipas and in moral theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University . He obtained a master's degree in Taumalipas in family therapy and in counseling at the Catholic University of Valencia . Besides tasks in parish ministry, he was spiritual director and later rain of Council seminar in Tampico. Since 2019 he has been the Plenipotentiary Secretary of the Mexican Bishops' Conference for its institutional relations.

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Ciudad Valles on March 19, 2020. The Archbishop of Monterrey , Rogelio Cabrera López , ordained him episcopal on March 17th of the same year in the Cathedral of Ciudad Valles . Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Mexico, Archbishop Franco Coppola , and the Bishop of Tampico, José Armando Álvarez Cano .
