The York Township is one of twelve townships in Carroll County in the northwest of the US -amerikanischen state of Illinois .

York Township is located northwest of Illinois on the Mississippi , which forms the border with Iowa . The Wisconsin border is 40 miles north.

York Township is located in southwest Carroll County. On the opposite bank of the Mississippi is Clinton County , Iowa. In the south, the township borders on Whiteside County . Within Carroll County, York Township borders the Savanna Township in the northwest , Mount Carroll Township in the north, Salem Township in the northeast and Fairhaven Township in the east .
