Yukarıserinyer ( kurd. Xajixa Jorîn ) was an almost derelict and abandoned Kurdish village in the Kiğı district of the Turkish Bingöl province until 2011 . The settlement is north of the Özlüce reservoir , above the sister settlement Aşağıserinyer .

In 1967 the village had 310 inhabitants. In the 1970s, numerous residents left the village due to economic circumstances. In 1985 there were 145 people in Yukarıserinyer. In 1993 the village was completely abandoned. Since 2006, former villagers have tried to make the village habitable again, and it was not included in the population statistics from 2007 to 2009.

The Kurdish name exists in different variants. The variant Yukarıgajik is recorded in the land register. The place is also called or Xajixa Jorin ("Upper Xajix").
