Zaza Pachulia ( Georgian ზაზა ფაჩულია; born February 10, 1984 in Tbilisi , Georgian SSR as Zaur Pachulia ) is a former Georgian basketball player who was active for 16 years in the US professional league NBA . He played at the center position at a height of 2.11 meters .
Career
From 1999 to 2003 Pachulia, who also has Turkish citizenship , was under contract with Ülkerspor Istanbul in Turkey . Pachulia was selected by the Orlando Magic in the 2003 NBA draft , but moved to the Milwaukee Bucks after just one season, where he was also only active for one season. For the 2005/06 season he moved to the Atlanta Hawks , where he played for six years.
After the lockout in the NBA for the 2011/12 season, Pachulia moved back to Turkey to runner-up Galatasaray Istanbul , where he played until the end of the lockout. He then returned to the Hawks in the NBA. After his contract in Atlanta expired in the summer of 2013, Pachulia moved within the league to the Milwaukee Bucks, for whom he had already played from 2003 to 2004.
For the 2015/16 season , Pachulia was transferred to the Dallas Mavericks after DeAndre Jordan of the Los Angeles Clippers , whom Dallas had actually planned as a new addition, had surprisingly extended his contract with the Clippers.
In the summer of 2016, he joined the Golden State Warriors , with whom he won the 2017 and 2018 NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers . His last NBA station was the Detroit Pistons . Subsequently, Pachulia returned to the Golden State Warriors and received a position in the management of the team.
