Schüttdorf , known as the district of Zell am See-Süd , is the most populous part of the district capital of Zell am See with 5622 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2011) . Schüttdorf is a place on Lake Zell , the management unit Zell am See-Süd , which forms part of the village area is the city.
history
At the beginning of the 20th century, the area south-west of the Zeller See was largely uninhabited. Only as a result of the ongoing regulation work on the Salzach and the construction of the lake canals a new settlement area with the first "huts" emerged on this part of the Zeller Möser District was designated as "Hütteldorf". At the request of the residents, the city council took the unanimous decision on August 22, 1930 to change the name to "Schüttdorf". At the northern edge of the local part Schüttdorf the property is located bulk of the families Porsche and Piëch , which is run as a farm with 140 cattle.
Business
As the largest part of Zell am See, Zell am See-Süd has experienced an upswing through the settlement of various companies.
The Prof. Ferdinand Porsche-Straße and the Gletschermoosstraße were connected with a new carriageway in spring 2008. Due to the settlement of companies and shopping centers, the southern end of Schüttdorf has moved up to about 600 meters to the northern border of the commercial area of the municipality of Bruck an der Großglocknerstrasse . The Kitzsteinhornstraße has evolved in recent years into a shopping street.

In Zell am See-Süd there is a senior citizens' residence, a youth center, a sports facility, a lido and tennis courts. In addition, new roads are laid out and (a) has been named after personalities from the region, or (b) by dominant peaks: Ferdinand Porsche Street (2008) and Kitzsteinhorn -Straße .

Zell am See airfield
There is an airfield ( ICAO : LOWZ ) with an asphalt runway, as well as a hangar, terminal and tower. The airfield is currently used by small planes and glider pilots. There are plans to extend the runway.
