geography

Zieglhäuser is located in the Upper Palatinate North region in the northeastern part of the Schwandorf district on the SAD 35 district road. The 22 federal road, which runs from Weiden to Cham, is about two hundred meters away. The hamlet of Zieglhäuser belongs to the municipality of Gleiritsch . It is located near the border with the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district .

history

From the 18th century to the beginning of the 19th century, clay bricks were manufactured at Zieglhäuser. They were air-dried or burnt in a simple hole in the ground. The basic material was available on the "Ziegelwiese" south of the hamlet.

Tax District and Parish Education

The Kingdom of Bavaria was divided into 15 districts in 1808. These districts were named after rivers based on the French model ( Naabkreis , Regenkreis , Unterdonaukreis , etc.). Development of the hamlet of Zieglhäuser

According to the will of the Schwandorf District Office, the hamlet of Zieglhäuser, consisting of three properties, should no longer grow. In the seventies of the last century there was a construction freeze. A new building permit was only granted when an old courtyard was demolished. In 1988 the water supply was connected to Lampenricht. In the meantime, construction activity is allowed again, so that eight properties (as of 2011) are in Zieglhäuser.
