The Zimmerbach is a one and a half kilometer long river in the municipality of Adelmannsfelden and on the municipal boundary to Abtsgmuend in Ostalbkreis in northeastern Baden-Wuerttemberg who, after an almost entirely Western run at the Zimmerberg mill of Abtsgmuend from the right in their Mühlkanal right upper Buhler opens .

geography

course

The room Bach entfließt a small pond chain during Adelmannsfeldener single farm Kuderberg to about 455- 450  m above sea level. NHN along the north-eastern edge of the large forest island Eulenklinge . After the last of the ponds, it quickly turns west through the northern edge of the forest and takes up an inconsistent, but longer and catchment-rich right upper course, which runs approximately from the east-northeast and thus from the direction of the Adelmannsfelden water tower on the K 3324. Still in the forest, the short Gerstenbach flows out of the corridor slope on the right , outside the Zimmerbach is then up to the confluence with the municipality border of Adelmannsfelden on the right to the Pommertsweiler suburb of Abtsgmünd on the left bank. After it has passed under the L 1072, which runs a little to the right of the Bühlertal, it flows a stone's throw below the Zimmerbergmühle from the right and east to about 418  m above sea level. NHN in the Mühlkanal, which runs 50 meters further down into the upper Bühler .

The Zimmerbach experiences on its 1.6 km long course, from the ponds near Kuderberg, a gradient of about 37 meters, its mean bottom gradient is about 23 ‰.

Catchment area

The Zimmerbach drains about 1.5 km² on the western edge of the sub-area Ellwanger Berge in the natural area of the Swabian-Franconian Forest Mountains , here is consistently Mittelkeuper . The highest point in the catchment area is on the top of the water tower about northwest of Adelmannsfelden, where a unique 493.8  m above sea level. NHN can be reached.

From here the right watershed runs roughly along the route of the district road K 3324 running westwards through Hof Mäder to the Bühlertal until shortly before Bühler and then to the mouth. On this section, the catchment area of the Ohrbach is bordered in the north , another right Bühler tributary further down.

From the mouth, the left watershed then climbs the ridge of the hill on which the hamlet Zimmerberg stands, and runs on it through the Eulenkling forest to the district road on the southwestern edge of Adelmannsfelden, outside of it first the Mühlhaldebach and then another, nameless, right tributary of the Bühler in the Eisenweiher. The catchment area border now follows the K 3324 northwards on the western edge of Adelmannsfeldens back to the water tower. Beyond this highest watershed of Adelmann field Ender drained Klingenbach to the boiler inflow blind red far above the Buhler.

The only forest area in the catchment area is the forest island Eulenkling , which is largely to the left of the upper reaches . In contrast, the much larger part of the corridor mostly consists of meadows. The Kuderberg single farm in Adelmannfelden is located near the origin, and the Zimmerbergmühle Pommertsweiler in the upper corner of the mouth. In addition, only part of the Adelmannsfeldener Hof Mäder is located on the right watershed in the catchment area, at the border of which in the east Adelmannsfeldens from the second half of the 20th century extends from the outside. Adelmannsfelden has the noticeably larger, Abtsgmünd-Pommertsweiler the smaller.
