Zimmer is a district of the town of Pappenheim in the Middle Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen .

The village is located in the Altmühltal at the foot of the Zimmer mountain , about one kilometer as the crow flies southeast of Pappenheim. A loop of the Altmühl touches the place in the southwest. The state road St 2230 from Pappenheim to Solnhofen leads through it. To the south, the St 2387 branches off to Bieswang .

The place was created from a courtyard, a mill and a fish fief. On May 1, 1978, the previously independent municipality was incorporated into the city of Pappenheim as part of the municipal reform.

The landmark of Zimmer is the Hollerstein , an imposing rock above the village. On it is a medieval castle stable .
