Zossen is a district of Wünschendorf / Elster in the district of Greiz in Thuringia .

geography

Zossen is located on the federal highway 92 from Greiz to Gera west of the White Elster in a hilly area of the western Elsteraue. In addition, through the district , the railway Gera Greiz- Weischlitz .

history

Zossen was first mentioned in a document on October 4, 1209. Since July 1st 1950 the place belongs to Wünschendorf.

There was an LPG in Zossen . After relocating its headquarters to Köckritz , it now operates as the Osterland Agricultural Cooperative .

The machines of the former Mildenfurth monastery mill were used by LPG Zossen and the Osterland agricultural cooperative for compound feed production. Production was stopped on October 30, 1999. The systems had previously been modernized.
