The Catholic parish church to the seven refuges in Affing , a community in the Aichach-Friedberg district in the Bavarian administrative district of Swabia , was built in 1688/89. The church, originally consecrated to the apostles Peter and Paul , is a protected architectural monument . An explanation of the rather rare patronage can be found here .

architecture

The baroque church has a four- axis nave , which is structured by pilasters . It is covered by a barrel vault with stitch caps , which rests on belt arches . In the west there is a double gallery . On both sides of the drawn three-sided enclosed choir are oratorios with stukierten parapets .

In the south there is the square tower with an octagon , which is crowned by a bell-shaped dome .

Furnishing

The uniform furnishings from the time of construction have been preserved. On the vaults and walls there are stucco decorations with acanthus , fruit hangings and angel heads.

The high altar depicts the Seven Refuge , it is attributed to Johann Georg Knappich (1637–1704). The altar extract shows the Divine Virtues . Half-figures of the apostles stand on the walls .
