action

Alexander Graf, a somewhat simple-minded guy with dark hair, works as an employee at a Munich travel agency. One day he was given the job of going to Salzburg to look after the famous Ellert trio, which was flown in from Rio de Janeiro to the festival city. His friends Bernd, Peter and Marcello, the ruffled Italian in the group, accompany him on this trip. The Brazilian classical music combo cannot appear in Salzburg at all because Alexander, the Bavarian idiot, forgot to send them the plane tickets. Now he is in dire straits, because if his boss finds out about this faux pas, he throws him out on edge.

But Alexander has more luck than brains, because chance comes to his aid. A reporter believes that Peter, Bernd and Marcello are looking at the same Ellert trio expected in the city of Mozart and ensures that the three of them appear in the local newspaper the following day. In order to secure Alexander's job, the three men agree to play this farce and from then on appear as musicians. But that's only when the problems begin, because Bernd, Peter and Marcello first have to prove their skills in front of a music committee. While taking tuition in classical music, Peter and Bernd also encounter love in the form of the lovely Eva and Birgit. Marcello, in turn, tries to win the heart of the pretty blonde Wilma.

Production notes

The film was shot on location in Salzburg in 1974 and had its world premiere on September 5, 1974. The attempt by producer Karl Spiehs to follow up on his successful hit films with Roy Black and Chris Roberts failed. This ended the wave of hit films of the 1960s and early 1970s.

Erich Tomek was production manager, Otto W. Retzer took over the production management . Robert Fabiankovich provided the equipment .

Orloff and Clüver, who met his future wife Ute Kittelberger while filming , also sing the theme song Zwei im 7. Himmel .

Reviews

The lexicon of international films called Zwei im 7th Himmel a "slap-top entertainment with pussycat interludes."

Filmecho / Filmwoche found that the young director Siggi Götz had “staged the loyal love story with a remarkable routine, smoothly and nimbly. Clüver and Kittelberger are a pale, but certainly likeable pair of lovers. "
