Every Time I Die is a five-piece metalcore band from Buffalo, New York, founded in the winter of 1998. Though popularly classified as metalcore, Every Time I Die's sound also contains elements of southern rock and math metal. The band is currently signed to Ferret Records and their latest album, Gutter Phenomenon, was released on August 23, 2005. In early 2006 they were on tour with Bleeding Through, Between The Buried And Me and Haste The Day. In late 2006 they supported Atreyu on the World Championship Tour along with From First to Last and Chiodos. Their new album, titled The Big Dirty, will be released in August 2007. They are on Sounds Of The Underground 2007 tour alongside GWAR, Shadows Fall, Job for a Cowboy, Chimaira, Darkest Hour, The Devil Wears Prada, Heavy Heavy Low Low, Amon Amarth, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, The Acacia Strain, Necro, and Goatwhore

Trivia
- Apparently, the band was at one point involved in a feud with Avenged Sevenfold.
- Vocalist Keith Buckley has said that the instrumental part of the music is written without him present. The finished music is sent to him and he is then responsible for performing his vocals over the music.
- The song "The New Black", is featured in the Guitar Hero II video game, and consequently it is among their most popular songs.
- At one point, John DeDomenici of Bomb the Music Industry! was going to join the band, prompting fellow BtMI member, Jeff Rosenstock, to write the song "Congratulations, John, On Joining Every Time I Die." After the song was already written and recorded John ended up not joining the band.
- Ex bass player Kevin Falk has since moved to San Diego where he has currently started a new band called 'For Garden Seed'
- In the song "Metal By Numbers" by comedian and self-proclaimed "metal nerd" Brian Posehn, the band is mentioned in the last part of the chorus as one of three bands to copy if you want to be metal.
- Ex bass player Dylan Robin has since moved to Zimbabwe where he has currently re-formed his legendary band "La Iglesia No Amplificada."
- Keith Buckley has written a new column added to the AP magazine named, "The Classics, According to Keith". It has been stated on Every Time I Die's website, that this will be a monthly column, in which he usually discusses social effects "classic" movies had.

- Singer Keith Buckley and guitarist Jordan Buckley are brothers.
- The band has gone through 10 bassists, making their next bassist (whoever it may be) their 11th.
- The song, Affection at Gunpoint, released on the Hex 7-inch single has never been released on anything else.
