Brian Posehn (born July 6, 1966 in Sacramento , California ) is an American actor , comedian and singer .

Career

Posehn initially had primarily minor roles in television series, such as the voice of Jim in Mission Hill and the role of Dan Swanson in 3 South . He also played an extra role in the series Seinfeld . He also lent his voice to the dwarf Gibbons in some episodes of the cartoon series Tom Goes to the Mayor and the "Wisdom Cube" in an episode of the cartoon series Aqua Teen Hunger Force . Posehn portrayed a gas station attendant in the comedy Dumm und Dumbererer and played in an episode of Friends , for which he also provided the manuscript.

In 2006 he released his first stand-up comedy album Live In: Nerd Rage on Relapse Records , which also contains the song Metal by Numbers , which parodies the current metalcore movement, which sees itself more in the realm of metal than Brian Posehn. Posehn was able to win over well-known metal greats such as Scott Ian from Anthrax (guitar), Joey Vera from Fates Warning (bass), John Tempesta from The Cult (drums) and Jon Donais from Shadows Fall (lead guitar) for the setting of the songs belong to the band Posehn , who plays on the said album.

Since February 2007 he has played in the television series The Sarah Silverman Program . In the same year he was seen in the comic book adaptation Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer in the cinema.

He was also featured in Rob Zombie's The Devil's Rejects and was a voice actor on El Superbeasto . He also played the role of Bert in 14 episodes of The Big Bang Theory series . In another episode of the series - his first appearance there at all - he portrays a library visitor who can not be Bert insofar as Raj does not recognize the character at Posehn's first official appearance as Bert.
