(35461) Mazzucato is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 26 February 1998 by the Italian astronomer Luciano Tesi and Andrea Boattini the Pistoia Mountains Astronomical Observatory ( IAU code 104) in San Marcello Pistoiese in Tuscany was discovered.
(35461) Mazzucato was named on July 21, 2005 after the Italian amateur astronomer Michele Mazzucato (* 1962), who wrote numerous articles and books with a focus on geodesy and astronomical topics as a member of several scientific associations .
