history
The place was founded during the time of the Árpáds . At that time there were several smaller settlements in the area of today's municipality. One of them was Hetye, mentioned in the 11th century in the estates of the Veszprém diocese . A brick church was built in Hetye in the Middle Ages, of which a three-story tower with the stumps of the wall of the adjacent part of the church still exists today. The church is surrounded by a cemetery. In 1888 the archaeologist István Szabó carried out excavations. The objects found (pots, horseshoes, buckles, knives, a small silver medal) were included in the collection of the Hungarian National Museum .
