Łukasz Skorupski (born May 5, 1991 in Zabrze ) is a Polish football player who has been playing in goal for FC Bologna since 2018 .

Career

Skorupski was born in Zabrze in Upper Silesia and began playing football at Pogón Zabrze; from there he moved to the youth of Górnik Zabrze . In 2008 he was appointed to the professional squad of Górnik, but was only a reservist for a long time. In 2011 he was awarded to the second division club Ruch Radzionków . In the second Polish division, he completed 14 league games. For the 2011/12 season he returned to Górnik Zabrze and won the regular place in the gate. He no longer gave it up in the 2012/13 season. In 2013 he was signed by AS Roma. However, he came in the 2013/14 season as the third goalkeeper behind Morgan de Sanctis and Bogdan Lobonț to only two league games. He made his European debut in the following season, when he was in the starting eleven on September 30, 2014, when he played 1-1 in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League against Manchester City . On November 5, 2014, Skorupski was part of the first team in the fourth group game against FC Bayern Munich .

National team

After Łukasz Skorupski was already the goalkeeper of the Polish U-20s and Polish U-21s , he was nominated for the first time for the Polish national football team in December 2012 . On December 16, 2012, he made his international debut in the friendly against Macedonia (4-1).
