history

The first written mention of the village and the fortress was made in 1372 as the seat of Jan Talafous of Říčan. In 1376 he sold the fortress Římovice with Jeníkov to Slavata of Chlum , who attached it to his Chlum castle . In the course of the division of the estate with his brothers, Mstich von Chlum received the Římovice estate in 1398. Later the estate was reunited with the Chlum rule, but in 1417 it was attached to the Podhořany rule . During the Hussite Wars , Ondřej Keřský from Řimovice had his seat at the fortress. After its end, Řimovice was again with Podhořany. From 1461 the estate again belonged to Chlum Castle; In 1482 it was attached to the Jeníkov Manor. In the 16th century the village of Římovice was desolate. From 1600 Řimovice belonged to the fortress Nové Vohančice and from 1638 back to the Jeníkov rule; in the Berní rula from 1654 Římovice is listed as part of the Jeníkov estate.

In 1840 the village of Řimowitz in the Caslauer Kreis consisted of 31 houses, in which 204 people, including two Protestant families, lived. The hamlet of Budka, consisting of seven houses, was conscripted after Řimowitz . The parish was Jenikau . Until the middle of the 19th century, Řimowitz remained subject to Goltsch-Jenikau.

After the abolition of patrimonial Římovice formed from 1849 a municipality in the judicial district of Habern . From 1868 the place belonged to the Časlau district . In 1869 Římovice had 214 inhabitants and consisted of 33 houses. In 1900 lived 201 people in Římovice, in 1910 there were 202. In 1930 Římovice had 211 inhabitants and consisted of 36 houses. Since the territorial reform of 1960 the village has belonged to Okres Havlíčkův Brod . In 1961 it was incorporated into Golčův Jeníkov .
