Vlkaneč (German Wilkanetsch ) is a municipality in Okres Kutná Hora in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic . It is located 21 km southeast of Kutná Hora and 13 km south of Čáslav .

geography

Vlkaneč is located on the Vlkanečský creek in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . The Znojmo – Nymburk railway runs through the village .

Neighboring towns are Zbudovice, Kocanda and Přibyslavice in the north, Kozohlody in the northeast, Římovice and Budka in the east, Dolík, Chlumek and Statek in the southeast, Kamenná Lhota and Nová Ves u Leštiny in the south, Dvorek, Chlum and Čejkovice in the southwest, Klucké Chvalovice in the west and Chvalovický Mlýn, Opatovice, Bojanka, Šebestěnice and Březí in the north-west.

history

The first written mention in the municipality comes from 1226 and concerns the district of Přibyslavice. Based on structural studies of the Vlkaneč church, it can be seen that Vlkaneč also existed as early as the 13th century. The village of Wlykans and the church have been documented since 1352. In the course of time the place was called Wlikans , Wlitans (1384), Walkans (1405) and Wlkanetz . The parish became extinct during the Thirty Years' War and the church was assigned as a branch to various parishes, most recently that in Smrdov . Vlkaneč belonged to the Jenikau rule since the 17th century . Leopold Krakovský von Kolowrat had a parish administrator installed in Vlkaneč in 1775. In 1787 there were 36 houses in Wlkanecz and Wlkaus . In 1793 a parish was established again.

In 1840 the village of Wlkaneč or Wlkanec in the Caslauer Kreis consisted of 42 houses in which 280 people, including six Protestant and one Jewish family, lived. The parish church of St. James, the parish and the school. In addition, there was a manorial farm with a sheep farm and an inn in the village. After Wlkaneč was konskribiert the single farm Cyhelna ( Statek ). Wlkaneč was the parish for Neudorf and Lhota ( Kamenná Lhota ). Until the middle of the 19th century, Wlkaneč remained subject to the Goltsch-Jenikau rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial Vlkaneč formed a municipality in the judicial district of Habern . From 1868 the municipality belonged to the Časlau district . In 1930 the community had 329 inhabitants. In the course of the territorial reform of 1960, the Okres Čáslav was repealed; Vlkaneč was assigned to the Okres Kutná Hora, at the same time Kozohlody and Přibyslavice (with Kocanda) were incorporated. In 2006 the place had 611 inhabitants.

Community structure

The municipality Vlkaneč consists of the districts Kozohlody ( Kosohlod ), Přibyslavice (German: Pribislaw , Pribislau , Pribislauitz (1226), Przibislauitz (1405)) and Vlkaneč, which also form cadastral districts. Vlkaneč also includes the single-layer Kocanda ( Kozanda ).
