history
Bernardov was founded at the end of the 17th century by the owner of the Nové Dvory estate , Bernard František Count von Věžník, on the site of an earlier free court of the Lukavecký von Lukavecs. He built an estate around which he settled ten families of forced laborers. The village was first mentioned in 1700 and was subject to the Nové Dvory lordship.
After the replacement of patrimonial Bernardov formed from 1850 a district of the Kobylnice municipality in the Kutná Hora district. In the 1920s, Bernardov became an independent municipality and came to Okres Přelouč in 1950. During the regional reform of 1961, the community was reassigned to the Okres Kutná Hora. At the beginning of 1980 it was incorporated into Mikuláš . Since November 24, 1990, Bernardov has formed a parish again.
