Schořov (German Schorschow ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located six kilometers south of Čáslav and belongs to the Okres Kutná Hora .

geography

Schořov is located in a side valley of the Hluboký potok on the edge of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands .

Neighboring towns are Žáky , Nový Dvůr and Čáslav in the north, Tupadly in the northeast, Adamov in the east, Přibyslavice in the southeast, Zbudovice in the south, Březí and Hraběšín in the southwest, Horní Štrampouch in the west and Dolní Štrampouch in the northwest.

history

Schořov was first mentioned in a document in 1352. The village used to be called Kostelib .

After the abolition of patrimonial was Schořov called Kostelib 1850 into an independent municipality in the judicial district Caslau or in the district Czaslav. In the course of the municipal reform of 1961, Schořov was incorporated into the Tupadly municipality in Okres Kutná Hora. Since November 24, 1990, Schořov has been a municipality again.
