Košice (German Koschitz ) is a municipality with 54 inhabitants (2006) in the Czech Republic . It is located 14 kilometers southwest of the city of Kutná Hora and belongs to the Okres Kutná Hora . The cadastral area is 209 ha.
geography
The village is located at 420 m above sea level. M. on the left slope of the Košický potok. The state road II / 337 between Malešov and Uhlířské Janovice runs through Košice . The Podskalák pond is located south of the village.
Neighboring towns are Rozkoš and Vidice in the north, Roztěž in the northeast, Albrechtice and Polánka in the east, Chlístovice and Bedřichov in the southeast, Nepoměřice in the south, Samek and Budy in the southwest, Onomyšl in the west and Miletín in the northwest.
history
The first written mention of the village belonging to the Malešov rule under the name of Kossitz was made in 1310 when Bořita z Košic was mentioned in connection with the foundation of the Church of St. Jacob in Kuttenberg . The existence of the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary has been documented since 1350, which was elevated to a parish church in 1362.
After the abolition of patrimonial Košice formed a municipality in the judicial district of Kuttenberg. From 1868 the village belonged to the Kuttenberg district .
From 1961 to 1993 Košice was incorporated into Nepoměřice.
