Vlačice (German Wlatschitz ) is a municipality in the Okres Kutná Hora in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers northeast of Čáslav .

geography

Vlačice is located between the Doubrava and the Brslenka in the Čáslavská kotlina ( Czaslau Basin ). To the northwest is the Žehušická obora game reserve.

Neighboring towns are Bojmany in the north, Zaříčany and Bílé Podolí in the northeast, Výčapy in the east, Dolní Bučice and Horní Bučice in the southeast, Koudelov in the south, Vrcha, Čáslav and Kalabousek in the southwest, Chotusice and Druhanice in the west and Rohozec and Žehušice in the north-west.

history

The first written mention of Vlačice was in 1189 as the property of the Hroznata of Peruc (Hroznata z Peruc) , who belonged to the Hrabischitz family . The Vilémov Benedictine monastery later acquired the village, which it has been known to have owned since 1279. The monastery had a fortress built in Vlačice in the 14th century, which was leased out. After the destruction of the monastery during the Hussite Wars , King Sigismund took possession of the property. In the middle of the 15th century he sold Vlačice to the Trčka von Lípa lords , who held the estate for more than a century until 1569. The next owner was Wenceslaus Chotouchovský von Nebovidy and from 1571 his heir, who sold the estate to Jan Kustoš von Zubří in 1579. His descendants expanded the fortress significantly; They sold the estate in 1612 to the Count of Waldstein , who added it to his rule Žehušice. In 1661 Michael Oswald von Thun and Hohenstein acquired the Žehušice rule from the heirs of Burian Ladislaus von Waldstein. In 1671 he made the rule Žehušice a majorate and bequeathed it to his brother Maximilian.

In 1840 Wlatschitz or Wlačice consisted of 13 houses in which 99 people lived. In the village there was a manorial farm with a sheep farm. The parish was Chotusitz .

After the abolition of patrimonial Vlačice and the district Výčapy formed a municipality in the judicial district of Časlau . From 1868 the place belonged to the Časlau district .

In the 20th century the villages of Vlačice and Výčapy grew together to form a closed development. In the course of the territorial reform of 1960 the Okres Čáslav was repealed; Vlačice was assigned to the Okres Kutná Hora.
